The key marking of the Third Reich’s brutality was the systematic discrimination and eventual genocide inflicted on millions of European Jews.
Today, much reverence is paid in respect of their suffering, and during my recent trip to Berlin, this was abundantly apparent all over the city.
Though I’m sure there are many more subtle signs, the above photos show some of those that jumped out to me as a quick visitor. And below is what it looks and sounds like to walk over the face exhibit at the Jüdisches Museum in Berlin.
