Germany Day 2: Berliners Rally for Gay Pride, Rights

Today started with a bike tour around Berlin through Fat Tire Bike Tours, based at the foot of the mammoth TV Tower in the Alexanderplatz square.

Getting some type of tour—bus, bike or foot—when you first enter a city is highly recommended because of the newfound familiarity and historical knowledge you’ll gain, not to mention the cool sights you’ll see.

For Berlin, Fat Tire is a plus because of its central location and English (from England) English-speaking guides. Its per-person rates are between 22 and 24 euros, and tour last several hours.When the tour returned to Alexanderplatz, there was a large gay-pride rally happening.
